The purpose of the human form of life is to make enquiry into the Nature of the Absolute, understand our relationship with the Supreme Personality of Godhead, and understand how to achieve the goal of life. We see even in our sacred scriptures this practice of  sincere enquiry as in the Srimad Bhagavatam where emperor Pariksit was make enquiries of Sukadeva Goswami and in this way Pariksit achieved perfection through hearing of transcendental subject matters and Sukadeva Goswami by speaking on such subject matters. In this way there are many pertinent questions which if answered on the basis of scriptural injunctions and in a manner that is reflective of our present reality may help us make spiritual advancement.
